Second-guessing my decision yesterday. I heard K vaping in the apartment even after he said he wouldn't anymore. I know vaping isn't the same as smoking, but I don't want to be around any kind of smoke in the house period. Trying to get back into the daily habit of doodling in my notebook. After everything that's happened in the last month, my creative hobbies are slowly coming back. I spent the week in Algonquin Park and saw my first moose! What a serendipitous sighting! I miss writing on my little blog. Yesterday, I went and hung out in a charming cafe in Bowanville called The Toasted Walnut. I sat and did some drawings for my next one-page zine. They've finished remediating my apartment. A small part of me still feels like it's a toxic environment, though, with lingering dust on the walls and in other nooks and crannies. It's been a week. They started doing balcony repairs in my building, which involves heavy drilling of all the concrete slabs. I've been playing in my new planner a bit and trying to get a feel for it. I love how compact it is. It's easy to bring with me everywhere. My new (again) obsession these past few weeks has been all things Hobonichi, specifically the weeks planner (I got the April start, Japanese edition). A few weeks ago, I met Erica Fustero, a fellow zine maker and artist on Mastodon. We did a zine trade, and it makes my heart so happy to trade art like this. All the way from Mataró!
