I spent the week in Algonquin Park and saw my first moose! What a serendipitous sighting! We went looking for moose every day we were there, and finally on the last day, as it rained out, we spotted one. Just a young thing, as he didn't have his full antlers. K and I were the only ones who saw him <3 Other creatures I saw in the wilderness: 🫎 a yellow-bellied woodpecker who pretty much stayed on the same tree in our camp the whole week 🫎 a little toad 🫎 a brave chipmunk who ate the nuts we flung for him under Millie's (K's parents' dog) watchful eye 🫎 a wild turkey with her two baby poults 🫎 huge ravens We hiked the new Fork Lake Trail, and I almost diiied. The trail was deemed difficult, but we weren't aware that it meant going up and down huge hills the entire time. I guess that's what difficult means, ha. At one point, my leg was in so much pain, I thought I wouldn't be able to make it out. My leg was fucked for a couple of days, I couldn't bend it at all, but it's much better now.…
