Today, I remembered that I started an anti-spam framework project a while back. I’d done a lot of the legwork and just got distracted at some point. I was thinking of creating a WordPress plugin that celebrates the community based on who actively interacts with your blog’s content. I thought it might create pseudo-profile pages for the most active commenters, boosters, likers, etc… The page would show only the information they freely shared (but not their email address), most likely a link, a handle, an avatar (if present), and what they interacted with and any recent comments.

I love getting likes, shares, and all that. I also enjoy charting things. Thus, I charted some data from my fediverse instance that is also a blog. As well as being a bit of the fediverse, this account is also a single-user #WordPress blog. It receives ActivityPub likes, replies, and boosts, WebMentions, pingbacks, trackbacks, pings, and local comments. The data for the chart is updated once a day and does not show the current week. I’ll go first. I love the way living on the coast tempers extreme weather. Heat waves are slightly less hot, and cold snaps are slightly less cold. I never knew I loved the sea air until I started spending time in London. Coming back to Thanet was like rediscovering something I did not realise that I missed.

Last year I made a thing to use Markdown files as a sort of (mostly) static website. It is blazingly fast and super light. I called it Matt’s Web Way. I use it to host documents in whatever structure seems good at the time. The generated web page is super light with minimal CSS to make it nice to read.
