I was with my dad on Father’s Day at the Sci Fi By The Sea one-day convention. I paid for Dad to get a signed photo from Hattie, who was lovely. For reasons known to no one, her queue was tiny and had been occluded by the other queues. Dad and I were having a sit-down and a beer when a friend of mine (Andy, I believe) came and told us that Hattie was thinking of going home. We had been avoiding meeting any celebs because neither of us felt able to stand for that long. Thus, a short queue for someone we would both love to meet got us up and over to her table in no time.
