This morning we had a drizzly, dark start, but it cleared up by midmorning. By late this morning it was off to the races with the temperature. It also got very humid, with the dew point getting up near 80. It was miserable, but we did end up with a good shot of thunderstorms forming, and they did. I slept ok last night, but I am not sure my brain was ready to wake up when I did. It is much warmer and more humid today, continuing the pattern of most of this summer. This morning we had a couple of light showers, then a few flashes of lightning with a passing cluster of showers and storms. That occurred just a little before dawn. Last evening I was messing around and decided I might try to update the firmware on my Keychron Q6 keyboard. I grabbed the wrong firmware because I am an idiot. I think I downloaded the firmware for the pro version accidentally. That was the one I was going to buy when I got it but then decided the wireless wasn’t worth the price since I wouldn’t use it. Recently the Phillies have been fun to watch again. They are suddenly hitting and being patient rather than either swinging at junk pitches way out of the zone or watching strike 3 right down the middle. Their defense has been better too. Today they went most of the game without hitting and were down by 4 with 2 outs in the 9th inning. I was just hoping they would score one so it’s not a shutout. The morning showers basically missed us, and the radar was not looking all that promising until later in the afternoon when a cluster of storms started to slowly strengthen out in, like, Adams County. This spring we really didn’t plant a garden. Plenty of things came up, and we never got around to it. Like usually happens, though, we had numerous tomato plants that grew on their own from fruits that fell, I guess. That is kind of a neat surprise game when it happens. I have posted about my angry hip that took squats away completely, or at least weighted ones, for about a week, among other things. Last week I failed hard at what should have been manageable weight. Several years ago we were walking through a garden center and noticed they had some hibiscus plants. My girlfriend loves their flowers, and I like them too, so we picked it up. As a bonus, it is a hardy variety, so we have it planted in the front yard, and it has been coming back each year since. Each year the bush seems to get a little bigger and more full.
