Great architecture. I love how this old harbour building got a new purpose and is now a museum. It's an interesting area at the waterfront in Rotterdam.
Not just the cube houses are an architecture highlight in Rotterdam, the Markthal is another one. It is quite impressive, that there are flats in this building. This was very unexpected again. Downstairs inside the Markhal is a huge food court and lots of restaurants on the sides. Delicious!
These cube houses in Rotterdam are quite a delight. What surprised me most was that these are basically a bridge over quite noisy street. The way between these houses is quiet though. We wondered how you organize yourself inside as the angles are not so practical for everyday life. A funny and unusual architecture for sure!
A nice sight in Rotterdam.
I've spent a weekend in Rotterdam together with my brother. We were surprised by this city: industrial and high buildings, yes, but there is lots of great architecture! Reminded me sometimes of the Hafencity here in Hamburg. As one person in the nice Jozi Café said: You have to see the beauty in this! I liked it. The city has lots of shops and bars ans cafés and people spending the day outside. Might have been because of the great weather though.
A day at some friend's house next to the Elbe in Kollmar. Already captured some nice scenes there in the past.
Those trails near Saltum – oh my gosh! I‘m so glad I had my Gravel bike with me. Especially Sti 100 was a nice ride for about 10km up and down and through those amazing tunnels of trees. The way back was quite different, riding along the beach.
Evenings in Saltum where lovely.
As we were as far north as never before already, we pushed it to the max by visiting Skagen for a day to see North and Baltic sea clash. I could not make out different colors in the water, the city was nice however. At least once you get away from the main street where all the cruise ship people are…
Another year, another week in Denmark with friends. It‘s a custom already after we spent time in Northern Denmark in 2025, 2024 and 2023 already. This year we went further north to Jutland and we liked the landscape the most until now. Great coast, large beach, nice coastal forests behind the dunes. It went by way to fast again.
➭ Visit link These days, lots of apps are adding AI to their tools and you have to use whatever they provide. As a longterm user of Fastmail, I really like their approach of enabling AI usage: they provide a MCP server to connect whatever AI you are using. Local or hosted. If you want to have AI for your mails at all. In their post announcing the MCP server, they made a very nice point about AI integration I’m totally fine with. There are two types to add AI to an app. Most apps do the…
Totally love the office view at slashwhy.de/en. Good reason to go to the office besides the people.
