Along with the calendar(s), I also got the usual assortment of goodies, like a signed sketchbook… With bonus fingertip. …signed prints…

There are a lot of comics that I’m aware of but haven’t read. Some I plan/hope to get to some day, some I don’t. Lately, the decision on if and when I’ll get to them has been driven by my involvement with the Comic Book Club, as is the case with the latest arrival. My Favorite Thing is Monsters Book One and Book Two Now I just have to read the two hefty volumes in time for the next session… In the meantime, you can check back to see what else I decide to pick up in the next Mail Call.

As I’ve noted in the past, memory is a tricky thing. For example, there’s a panel that’s lived in my head for decades. To the extent I can with my largely aphantasic mind, I’ve pictured it a certain way, even as I couldn’t recall the exact comic or context in which it appeared. I had my suspicions about the comic, but rather than just digging the comic out of its box and making sure, I asked about it on Bluesky – without naming the comic I thought it was from – and received a response that…

Another first Sunday means another session of Comic Book Club. Via I won’t always have a Haul post to accompany Comic Book Club, but this past Wednesday, there was a comic that I considered buying but decided against – the first issue of the story we discussed last month – and one that I realized after that I had missed.
