Jake Pentecost, son of Stacker Pentecost, reunites with Mako Mori to lead a new generation of Jaeger pilots, including rival Lambert and 15-year-old hacker Amara, against a new Kaiju threat. It’s badly written, but at least it’s got cool robots and kaijus and that’s it. A major letdown in comparison to its predecessor, but it’s still a decent watch. Here are my thoughts on Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Spoiler-free first, and then spoilers tucked away below. Overall, it’s a solid Spider-Man story.
