The youngest in the cast 0 ▲ rachel.blog 1 hour ago · Film & TV · hide · 0 comments Elizabeth auditioned for the Aberdeen Gilbert and Sullivan Society last week and not only did she get in, but she also landed the part of Melissa in Princess Ida, which they’ll be performing at the Tivoli Theatre next March. To say she’s excited would be an understatement. Melissa has a number of singing parts and quite a bit of dialogue, so Elizabeth is absolutely overjoyed. Aberdeen’s Gilbert and Sullivan Society was founded in 1976 by and for students at the University of Aberdeen but expanded to the wider community in 2015. At 16, Elizabeth only just meets the minimum age requirement and is the youngest member of the cast. The talent in the society is exceptional and you can watch recordings of past performances on YouTube. Here’s The Grand Duke from 2025. Princess Ida is a particularly good one for Elizabeth.
