Later on this afternoon I was feeling pretty good. I was thinking of doing a WOD and finally decided to get off my ass and do one. I didn’t want something long and complicated today. Instead, what I wanted to find was something fairly quick. Another idea I had in my mind was that I wanted to do something heavier. This morning I saw the 50-pound dumbbells when I moved the rower against them to do my deadlifts. The sun was shining on them, and they were begging for me to pick them up and use them. It has been a few weeks, I think, and I have been wanting to ramp up the weights in WODS. I found an older death by WOD. It called for death by clusters. That is a clean into a thruster. I cut the WOD shorter than I had to because I started coughing and didn’t want to go to failure with the heavier weight than I am used to, but I did certainly have more in the tank. I am pretty confident I could have made the goal reps. That’s not too shabby considering I haven’t touched this weight in WOD…
