New Bot Day! Robot No.3991 is a “push puppet” (Wakouwa). Wakouwas were invented by Swiss toymaker Walter Kourt Walss in the 1940s. Push the button, dance around! No. 3991 originates from the mid-1960s made by The Kohner Brothers Company of East Paterson, New Jersey. I acquired this artifact a few years ago at a thrift store in Chicago.
