Leaves Are Turning Already

Winter must be on its way here in Mount Joy. Last night the air had a distinct chill to it as it got into the 40s early and stayed there all night. It wasn’t the first time this fall but today it felt cooler in the house as we have lost some heat. Yesterday whilst I was mowing the grass I noticed that the breeze had a bit of a nip to it. It was in the upper 60s but the air felt a little cooler than that. I say bring it on! I t was a long and hot summer. If Molly sees this it might be my last post ever since she might kill me. She hates the cold and winter. Another thing that caught my eyes today is that a fair amount of the leaves on the neighbor’s maple tree are starting to fade into the dull yellow they turn. A lot of the other trees around here are losing their bright green and fading into the fall colors. I don’t have a schedule for when this typically happens but it seems to be quite early for it.
