I originally wrote this in August. But it's a depressing topic and I've been busy so I didn't come back to it to finish it until now. In the meantime, Ava wrote about friendships and the difficulty maintaining them, absurdpirate wrote a follow up post, folkmoss wrote about how ADHD is an actually debilitating disability, and hollie made a joke about ADHD friends. I feel like I'm even missing a few posts I remember reading but didn't bookmark. So I guess autumn makes everybody somewhat melancholy and looking for connections. Maybe it's the cultural association of autumn with the start of the school year. In any case. This is only lightly edited for the sake of getting it out the door. As the work season comes into its last month I am really feeling a particular anxiety I haven't felt since uni - at what point, and with whom, do I suggest swapping contact info?
