Stories are essential to life

I’ve been reading a lot of stories about how persistence and dedication toward one’s dreams can really bring them into reality. But what does fiction have to do with reality? One story had a fun view of the universe where every fictional story is actually happening in a parallel reality, and the author is doing nothing more than witnessing that reality through their mind’s eye. Lately, I’ve been too lazy to sit down and write out my thoughts, even though, in all honesty, nothing could be easier. I’ve had plenty of excuses: work draining my creative energy, a tiring day, a cold, or just about anything else that comes up during the day. Mostly, I think the real reason I’m writing less is simply that I haven’t been doing what I said I would. I haven’t been learning as much maths as I promised or wanted to. I might have followed a few pages and watched some reels; I might’ve even downloaded books, but beyond that, what I’ve done doesn’t even count as the bare minimum. Maybe I shouldn’t be…
