My story writing brain has become rusty, but I am trying to lubricate and clean the pieces for a few months now. However, when I saw James prompt for the Fiction IndieWeb Carnival, my creative soul begged me to take part. I took to writing this story with all seriousness on the matter. Having spent considerable amount of time learning to revise and edit my blog posts, I decided using this approach and learning to create the kind of atmosphere which I look for in stories. “Moonlight” is one of my favourite words in any language; I almost named our daughter after it, being in the Netherland, the name slightly changed but retrains the sense of moonlight in it. This is not a story about her, it is just a fact of how I love the word and I thank James for this prompt, as I learned more of myself as a writer than I have in years. By sharing this process, I hope to remind myself of the creative journey and to replicate it; because writing from nothing but a word has proven to be an unexpected…
