Swoop handle e-reader bag

I documented my process for sewing a simple e-reader bag using the fabric I dyed and printed in a workshop called Screenprinting with Natural Dyes and now I am going to share it with you!I started by laying my e-readers on a piece of paper and making a rectangle with a buffer zone around the edges. My vision for the bag was a simple rectangle with a handle that loops from one side to the other.Initial template sketch.From there, I pieced the fabric I had together to make patchwork panels that could be cut to shape. I sewed, ironed, and cut them to size, creating two identical shapes. This would create a loop effect when stacked on top of each other.I repeated this process using old jeans for the lining. This had the added benefit of creating a built in pocket and a belt loop that could be used for keys, bag charms, or hooking on a reusable shopping bag.
