Here's a short timeline of what occurred: August 27, 2026I got a job offer ↗ September 3, 2026My first work week and "looking ahead" ↗ September 6, 2026A collection of notes, in which some friction occurs (FYI, some notes will be deleted next month) ↗ September 9, 2026I got fired I had a feeling this would happen.My last interaction with my boss on Monday drained me of all motivation and hope. It occurred over Whatsapp, but she managed to convey her frantic and demeaning energy anyway. We ended up bargaining over how many hours I actually worked. I'll own up to that. It's my first time working in a position where you need to clock in and out, where the exact time is important. I just assumed if you assigned me to work from 15:00-22:00, those are the hours I will be paid for. That may have worked in my time at large, international and corporate offices, but not here.
