  1. DEN HAAG 2026-06-17

Dutch travelog, part 8. Read part 7 here. Our trip was finally nearing the end.Wednesday morning was spent getting ready and packing up, making sure I didn't leave anything behind this time. We left after 10:00. Mozzarella gave us a big hug and even kissed Daniel on the cheek twice, which took him by surprise. The bus ride to the station was embarrassing. I got confused by the stops (turns out the screen wasn't moving), so I panicked and made us get up from our seats. At one point, the bus…

Dutch travelog, part 7. Read part 6 here. We decided leave the apartment together with Mozzarella. Thus, he made us a light and delicious veggie omelette for lunch. (I just had a banana for breakfast). View from the living room window. "Father, may I have some lööps oatmeal?" He gave us some tips on how we could spend our day, so we decided to take his advice and do a loop along the canal that encircles the city center of Utrecht. 4. UTRECHT 2026-06-15

Dutch travelog, part 6.5. Read part 6 here. We arrived in Utrecht around 19:30. Mozzarella would be hosting us for the next two nights. We were to meet at the station, near his gate. Around 5 minutes later, I spotted him and waved. He smiled widely as he walked towards us and hugged us both. We rode the escalator down to where the bus terminals were. M lives in a quaint neighborhood just outside of the city center; about a 10-minute bus ride away. My cousin lives in a modern high-rise building…

  8. JUN >> JUL

Monthly reflection and outlook. June was fun (and hot).I kicked off June in vacation mode: planning, prepping, and eventually traveling. Let's reflect. + Going to the Netherlands. I visited Den Haag and Delft, two cities I hadn't been to. It was also nice revisiting the cities I have been to with Daniel. We have friends there now, so we will definitely be returning. I'm still blogging about my trip, which you can read about here. Hanging out with my cousin again after 7(?) years. It was great…

  10. 26-05 FLAVOR OF THE MONTH: MATCHA WHITE CHOCOLATE

Part of my cookie series. This is for May. Read about the introduction and idea of this project in the inaugural post. I baked these for our IRANIAN DINNER & MOVIE NIGHT and they were specifically requested by V as her birthday cookie. I've done this flavor before but: it didn't turn out like I'd hoped I never documented it So here it is. May flavor of the month: MATCHA WHITE CHOCOLATE Trial #1 The Grinch that stole cookie The first time I baked these cookies was for Christmas 2025. What…
