Nature Gave Us A Different Show Tonight 0 ▲ ScatterSplatter - Blog 1 day ago · Life · hide · 0 comments This morning we had a drizzly, dark start, but it cleared up by midmorning. By late this morning it was off to the races with the temperature. It also got very humid, with the dew point getting up near 80. It was miserable, but we did end up with a good shot of thunderstorms forming, and they did. The earlier of which missed us, but we were rewarded with a good show. I don’t recall seeing one illuminated like this by the setting sun. Normally around here there are plenty of clouds around storms, so you don’t get to see the towers so much. This evening as they were moving almost north to south, they were very visible. The cool thing is I even saw a couple of flashes of lightning in the thunderhead. Only a few, and I wouldn’t have been able to get a picture, but it was neat to see the burst of light in the already bright clouds.
