Just writing

I’ve been doing this thing since about 1998 or so. Then I wrote differently. For awhile I did Technorati stuff when it was the listing and authority stuff for blogs. It was my so many startup back then. We started out in the founders garage on some older than likely server. Then we moved. I hired a few people on the Linux side from days at Linuxcare or before. I wrote here and there after. Maybe on movabletype and typepad and Wordpress. A dose of drupal in there somewhere. Many of us wrote then on Advogato. So many people met there.The primary goal I had was to just write. I got tired of ownership of some server and wanted something that just facilitated the writing. Not all the support and maintenance. Care and feeding. In other words, the primary goal was to write only. And let someone else care for the pieces. If the pieces fell away I would just start over. It never was a long term ownership thing so I skipped around. Now I write at pagecord because it gives me the writing without…
