Brain dump about my fears and how discomfort triggers my negative self-talk. These last few weeks have been a wild ride. First I handed out some CVs in person. Then I had an idea to start my own coffee stand and submitted a business proposal to a local atelier. I also blew an interview because I opted to speak in English rather than showing I had any grasp of the German language. Yesterday, I worked in a kitchen for the first time in my life. I've found myself crying, usually before bed. I didn't know why at first, but I suppose it's because I'm overwhelmed and processing all these big, new things. But I'm also forced to confront the one thing that's holding me back: my crippling fear of failure. Failure appears differently to everyone. For me, it's speaking a language incorrectly. I won't even try it. Every time I tell myself that I should just go for it, even in a safe environment, I won't do it. I had the chance today with my physiotherapist.
