Whilst our son got himself ready, my wife and I walked to a local bakery we spotted yesterday to get some pastries for breakfast. There’s a Belgian pastry called a cramique that we were practically drooling over the day before. We couldn’t decide between the raisin and chocolate chip versions, so we just got both 😜 Delicious! Our first port of call today was a walk towards the comic book museum. This was in a bit more of an old business/financial area where the buildings had been repurposed to offices, museums, food halls, and such. Comic Art Museum The comic art museum is in a beautiful old Art Deco warehouse/department store that sold cloth called the Waucquez Warehouse. It was declared a historic building, and the state purchased it to become the home of the comic book museum. Honestly, even if you’re not that into comics, the architecture and space itself are worth it for a wander. It’s stunning. But then, of course, there’s the exploration of comic book art itself.
