Portal > a half-assed review

A test subject wakes up in a scientific facility controlled by a sadistic artificial intelligence and must escape with the help of the only instrument she has–a gun that makes portals. I think this is the game I have finished the most times, and I think I bought it at least several times: Mac App Store, physical media for the Xbox 360, digital for the Xbox One / Series X, Nintendo Switch, Steam and I think I have a pirated Mac version somewhere too. Usually bought for a fiver on sale, it’s definitely the kind of game where money is not an issue and spending a few bucks on it is always worth. Because I’m lazy, I took all the screenshots in this article in a play session during a sleepless night on the couch, while on the Steam Deck, and although I recorded most of the play session, I’m too lazy to cut it and upload it to youtube.
