🛣️ More Freedom, Less Supervision My daughter is now in the Oberstufe and loves the new freedom it brings. She chose German, English and History as her advanced courses, and it seems she’s pretty happy with her choice. She’s especially excited for the history field trips. Their first destination will be ⁠KZ Osthofen, one of those places quite a few of us Germans should probably visit. 🚀 Off to new Horizons My son is now a schoolkid too. So this week was mostly about giving him a good, stress-free start. On Monday, he had his school enrollment ceremony at his new elementary school, including his very first lesson. Big boy, big Schultüte After that we started to decimate his Einschulungsbrezel with the family. It’s a giant, sweet pretzel made from yeast dough that weighs around 5 kg. 😄 After some time tinkering with the new LEGO City set he found in his Schultüte, the traditional cone filled with little gifts and sweets, we ended the day at Grandma H.’s with some Schnitzel and potato…
