39°C and a Bratwurst

This Friday and Saturday were hot here in Germany. We were close to 39°C. Again. So we did the only thing that felt right and spent some time at the Herthasee. It’s a 15-minute drive and easy to reach. After some time in the water, the weather started to turn. Suddenly, dark clouds rolled in and the wind got really strong, so we had to hold tight to our air crocodile. 🐊💨 But, as luck would have it, my son got hungry. So it was a good time to head over to the beach bar and get a Bratwurst in a bun. By the way, they’ve made this into a really cozy little beach area. It reminds me a lot of the beach pavilions in North Holland. But maybe it was just the feeling of the sand under my feet. Man, I miss the sea. 😢 Anyway, it was a fun day at the lake.
