CHOOSING TO BE KIND 1 ▲ PRETEND TYPEWRITER 1 hour ago · Life · hide · 0 comments Sharing some of the kindness I've received recently and hoping to pass it on. I've received a lot of thoughtful messages over the past few days, as one of my posts got some traction on Bubbles. I was also told that someone had shared this post on Mastodon and described it as a "hopeful slice of life." Whoever you are, thank you. That's such a compliment. I woke up this morning to an email. Someone asked if I had a coffee/tip jar/merch and wrote, "Grateful for your words." I cried. This isn't the first time someone has asked whether I had some sort of tip jar. I didn't think it was necessary at the time, but, well, times have changed. So I set one up after my morning routine*. I informed the person and they donated. I cried again. * I've added it to my footer now. It still feels weird advertising it, hence the whisper in a footnote.I have been very emotional over the past few days with so much on my mind. Social media and the corporate world have broken me.A few weeks ago, I commented… No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
