2017 came and after getting enough play time in AC Syndicate, I bought the new AC title, Origins. While not a reboot, it does move the time frame of the game way in the past, during Ancient Egypt, exploring the secrets hidden in the dunes, as well as the connections with the past civilizations. There are significant differences in gameplay compared to Syndicate, but I actually like this RPG approach, but what’s most impressive is the huge open world with various landscapes and biomes, Ubisoft doing a great job recreating cities and oasis of the past. Similar to its predecessor, I managed to spend about 164 hours between the dunes (6 days and 20 hours), which is a good metric of how good the game is. I didn’t play it for a long while, but returning to it and taking a stroll through the world, I do remember fondly how much fun I had.
