HTML Day was yesterday

The River Park was great. Wonderful time, wonderful company. Here’s a group photo The event page has been updated with that photo, and others. Once again, my domain joespartydepot.com yields fun usages such as htmlday.joespartydepot.com. ioflow brought Zines! And I got to draw on paper on a table, which is among my favorite things to do. On the day, I wanted to answer the prompt: How can a website move like the wind? With a page which would take microphone input and then move elements on the page. I wrote code to use the mic, which worked, but I couldn’t sort out how to add a “listener” to the wind to turn that into input to make transformations on elements. So instead I wrote a poem. I am happy with it. It lives here. Thanks Anthony, Kat, ioflow, and Kelly for coming out. I am so glad I organized it. My goal will be for the next San Diego HTML Day to spread the joy of HTML to even more people. And of course, in December there’ll be another IndieWeb Camp San Diego. I suppose I ought…
