THE BACKEND BLOGGING STUFF THAT DON'T MATTER TO ME

A brain dump. From Chloe's AuguStory prompts: What backend stuff about blogging doesn't matter to you? (i.e. SEO, analytics, making money, etc.) Is this different from your earlier days of blogging? I check my Analytics page frequently. I find the referrers section the most interesting, because I like to know who's mentioned my blog, and I've discovered some blogs from there! I also like knowing where people are visiting from. That's always cool to see. When I see that there's someone reading now, I like to find which page they're reading at the exact moment. It's a new game that I've started playing with myself because I find it amusing. What I didn't like was knowing how many upvotes a post got.That upvote button brought out the social-media-approval-seeking-demon in me. Once I removed that, the Analytics page was no longer a dangerous place. I don't care about SEO at all.This is a personal blog, so I'd rather it NOT pop up on search engines.
