Checking Out the Water Level of the Danube River in Ruse (Bulgaria)

Today was a very nice and sunny day – also very hot, though. Maybe a little too hot. Around 36 degrees Celsius. But I decided to go for a walk anyway. Since I’ve been reading news articles of people finding things like WW2 shipwrecks and mammoth bones in the Danube river due to the water level being very low, I decided to head out and check for myself how the water level is looking from the city of Ruse, Bulgaria, near the bridge to Romania. As you can see in the picture above, the water level of the Danube river has certainly reduced, I would say by a couple of dozen centimeters even. Here’s a ship on the other side. Across from the Danube river lies Romania. The bridge to Giurgiu is just a few kilometers away, on the right. I spent around 2-3 hours outside, and took a just few more pictures.
