You don't realise how good you've become until you're placed in an environment that directly tests it. This is also why most people carry that lack of self worth, thinking they aren't good enough, because they've been measuring themselves against the wrong standard. But when you're in an environment where your particular skillset is valued, you naturally rise to the top. You realise that being on top is easier than expected, maybe because the competition is weak, or maybe because you're being arrogant. The things you've practiced a thousand times without realising it makes you sharper than the rest of the crowd. This attracts a particular kind of envy you're almost never prepared to handle. People resent you for being good. They hate you because they have to accept they're nowhere close to you. You try being humble, try to motivate them, but… No comments yet.
