the jester's gambit

In a nice mood. Yesterday was nice, my partner and I took a trip to the grocery store cause we were getting super low on food. We wanted to wait until we got paid, but sometimes the credit card has to put in a little work. But going together was good, it helped us put together a nice full cart, instead of just getting a small cart of our usual suspects! Work was pretty alright. I started the 3rd Discworld book, which is pretty good so far! The best part was the end of course. The end of the day seemed like it was going to be boring, as there wasn't much work even at the start of the day. When I came back from my station someone else was there, told to be there by the manager. When I asked the manager, they said they forgot and I joked that I could just leave. They said I could if I wanted, and my subtle plea for freedom lead to me getting out of work a couple hours early! Now I'm just vibing on the couch, thinking about what I wanna eat.
