This fascination is seeded by personal need to understand my own perception. I am often questioned about color choice in my art. Most consider them artistic choice. While I do oversaturate the hues, I actually see these hues. My art is my attempt to show the world the colors I see, hence the intensity of the saturation. Part of me afraid they miss the point. Painting Trees This spring I visited the local botanical garden on a day I took off with the sole purpose of doing watercolor. Me and nature. I have a long way to go. I find it difficult to express what I see from pictures. Photography never captures colors the way I see them. This is probably why it has never been an interest of mine. I often wonder if it is a matter of having a bad camera.
