This past year has been a bit of a whirlwind. Between starting one job, completing the 2025 Tour, then in the fall starting another job where I pivoted back into hands-on development, only to find myself in the midst of the greatest upheaval the tech industry has ever seen1, honestly, it’s all been a lot. The result is that I have been woefully neglectful to my commitments around the Tour. First, and worst, I’m still not done the socks from last year’s raffle (in fact, I’m only 1.5 pairs in on that little project queue… I am Jack’s deep sense of shame). Second, I have done little to no communication around my Tour campaign for 2026. And yet, despite that, somehow not only did we hit our fundraising goals, we raised more money than ever! Our own team, The Hue Crew, raised over $13,000, while I personally hit $2,815 thanks to support from both new donors and old.
