If you are unaware of this — blissfully so — it is Gen-Z meditation rediscovery — stubborn creatures they are. They set the clock and stare at a wall for 10 minutes. This act of doing nothing rests their brain. Something the Dutch have done for a long time and even have a verb for. It is good a thing. Other parts of the world call it meditation. “Meditation” however, carries much weight and expectation for the rebellious Gen-Z brain. Rebel as they do, they stare into a wall. My attempt. A wall of white. Of which I have many. A swirl of sparking colors floating about it. Yellow. Green. Turquoise — or something like it. Pink. Hot pink. Purple. The point is not to have any stimulation. The point fails my eyes — there is a draft (maybe next week I’ll post it). I am jealous of abilities to shut out the world with a wall.
