I still use my Kindle 3 Keyboard ereader from 2010. It has physical buttons and a physical keyboard and no backlight and no ads and very good contrast. I have read hundreds of books on it. It lasts several weeks on a charge and the battery was a champ until it finally died in 2025. The battery was easy to replace and I still use my Kindle Keyboard almost every day. I love that it is a single-purpose device with no distractions. It is easy to tuck into a bag. It has never triggered or worsened a migraine, which is a problem I face with other devices like the iPad.Unfortunately, Amazon stopped supporting their older ebook readers in 2026. This means I can no longer check out library books or purchase books directly from Amazon and add them to my Kindle Keyboard.
