A chronicle of country-music legend Johnny Cash’s life, from his early Arkansas-cotton-farm days to his rise to fame with Sun Records in Memphis, where he recorded alongside Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins. The story about the Man in Black masterfully played by Joaquin Phoenix and for which Reese Witherspoon won an Oscar for her interpretation of June Carter is an absolute masterpiece of a film, one that (at least for me) passed the passing of time and set itself as a great biopic.
