A science teacher wakes up alone on a spaceship. As his memory returns, he uncovers a mission to stop a mysterious substance killing Earth’s sun, and realizes that an unexpected friendship may be the key. So we have Ryan Goosebumps looking like Jared Leto in a funny futuristic comedy-space adventure. The humour is pretty absurd and it gives the movie a nice fun vibe, although it treats a global-extinction event. The science is more fantastic, and also requires a lot of suspension of disbelief, but the production value is really nice, the effects are nice and the music is mesmerizing. This is definitely a fun watch, mixing a lot of ideas from many other sci-fi movies into a great movie, based on a book written by the same guy that wrote “The Martian”. Five popcorns. Rocky fix.
