I haven’t owned a video game console since the PS2 when I was young. I just never gamed much. But I’ve been really into playing older titles lately on emulators or my actual Game Boy Advance. I think it may be a small dissociation from the stresses piling up in life lately. A little way to return to my childhood and not feel so much damn pressure in life. Anyways… I’ve been mulling over some retro handhelds (TrimUI brick, Miyoo Mini+, Anbernic devices, etc) and finally settled on the decision to buy an OLED Nintendo Switch. Not exactly RETRO, but I’m definitely late to the party on getting one. I figure it will still get some decent games for a short while, it already has an immense library, and it gives access to old SNES/GB/N64/GBA games that would basically be my retro emulator device anyways. I picked up Smash Bros Ultimate as a starter game because I absolutely loved the original on N64. It just feels good. I will probably be getting some more casual games here soon. I can see…
