People who are most rigid about their morals are the first to break them. They broadcast their moral standings and religious values, and build their entire identity around those. This narrows their worldview while filling them with pride in the mere act of performing that morality. To them, it matters that everyone else knows about it too. Some people cannot tolerate this hypocrisy and call it out. They resort to arguments but end up with deeper frustration and damaged relationships. Such people assume that logic was what the hypocrites were missing. This is the same mistake made by those who go to correct others' opinions, believing that if only they knew the right thing, they would do it.
