%%blue%%water is life%%, no doubt. behind our tiny home, for most of the year, the creek bed is dry. trees arch above it and spanish moss sways in the dusty breeze. %%green%%may typically sees the first rain of the year%%, and the creek bed tries to come alive again. but it doesn't last long, not enough rain, and the water disappears. come june, the rainy season has truly arrived. the creek flows. we can hear the water flowing across rocks and small cascading waterfalls. at night, the crickets are now accompanied by chirping %%green%%frogs%%. during the day, the population of birds grows: humming birds, sparrows, hawks, woodpeckers, and the odd parrot. we find little turtles along the banks and in rock pools. if we are lucky, we might spot a deer. in a matter of days, so much life has returned. %%yellow%%the creek is seasonal%%, but this is something we love. it gives life a rhythm. it forces us to be conscious of and live within the water cycle. nothing taken for granted. we work for…
