It's photo dump time! I took a little trip for my birthday to see Built to Spill play at Codfish Hollow and to explore the Maquoketa Caves. This was my first time at Codfish Hollow, and it is definitely a gem of the midwest! The show was in a barn and there were food trucks and artist booths. You can also camp there, though after the show we ended up staying in an old hotel decorated with antique furniture. It's across the street from a radio station and there are speakers along the street that play the radio broadcast out loud.The town of Maquoketa was cute. It's definitely small, but we stopped into a few cute shops and tried a couple of restaurants.The night after the show, we camped at the Maquoketa Caves. There are no guided tours and you can explore the caves freely. It's very possible to see all of the caves in one day, though we went on two shorter hikes. Compared to Meramec Caverns in Missouri, the Maquoketa Caves are smaller with fewer unusual geologic formations, but the…
