Oh how I’ve missed big, bombastic video games like this. Games like the Uncharted series on PlayStation. As games move towards being multiplayer service-focused games, you don’t find as many massive single-player focused action adventure games with this amount o budget as you used to. With their experience on the Hitman series of games, IOI knocked it out of the park with this one and has made one of the best gaming experiences I’ve had in quite a while. It’s just such a fun mix of stealth, gadgets, and bombastic action that speaks Bond in volumes whilst avoiding peak levels of “Remember this?… hey? hey! Do you remember this?” nostalgia bait that it could have clung onto. You get the Bond DNA with sneaking missions, glamorous locations, and gadgets galore, but it feels like it’s carving its own version of the character at the same time.
