we rescued our dog, tennessee williams, in xalapa from a horrendously over-populated kennel. %%yellow%%if you have ever adopted or rescued a dog, not a puppy, but a dog, you know you're in for it a bit%%. we were very lucky with his temperament. %%green%%he almost immediately got along with his brother, a cat named totoro, and he was and always has been super gentle with children and other dogs%%. it wasn't long after we adopted him, that we learned he was a bit of a houdini and able to escape from almost anywhere. %%orange%%he is an intelligent dog and he can open windows, some doors, climb ladders, open gates, and find holes to escape along any fence or wall imaginable%%. he often takes himself for walks and adventures, and we have mostly given up on looking for him as he always comes home. the one thing that makes him a little unpredictable is his absolute fear and anxiety of fireworks (of which we have many here) and thunder (of which we also have plenty in the rainy season). any…
