It’s so frustrating that AI is both destroying the open web by drowning it in slop and burying it in scrapers while it’s also a powerful tool for folks who want to launch their own blog or website. By making the technical challenges tractable, AI makes the indieweb more accessible than ever, and used properly can enable human communication and connection instead of destroying it. But that doesn’t feed the capitalist machine. 👨💻
