I was trying to remember the name of some old hidden-object games I used to play as a kid, and after a while and some searches I got it! The two main series I liked were Mystery Case Files (specifically Return to Ravenhearst) and Mortimer Beckett. I was introduced to them because my parents played them and would often invite me to play with them, helping in puzzles and finding the objects. It was incredibly fun and I think it's one of the first ways I started learning english. Those games were really hard to find localized, so we just played the english version and brute-forced through some parts. No one knew even basic english but the games would sort of teach you, say you didn't know what "pipe" was, but you click here and there for things that look clickable, sometimes asking for a hint, and when you find it you now know what a pipe is. The game also does a good job of teaching via reinforcement, with the same objects reappearing in other scenes. I downloaded the Mystery Case Files…
