over the weekend, i had the chance to reread %%green%%excercises in style%% by %%purple%%raymond queneau%%. excellent read, highly recommended. the book is simple. it takes a small slice of a day and tells it in 99 different ways. the themes are %%yellow%%repitition%%, %%orange%%mundanity%%, and %%cyan%%everyday life%%. it is about how we experience the world around us in so many different ways. %%yellow%%we can all experience the same thing, but walk away with our own story/interpretation of it%%. it made me think about chores and routine less as a sisyphean struggle and more as an infinite number of chances to tell your story through what you do and how you do it. it is a highly humorous and %%green%%optimistic%% book. %%green%%everyday is an exercise in living%%. as an aside, moving back to oax. has been amazing. i couldn't handle the cold and rain in xal., but still i am waking up each morning hoping for a little rain. dusty days, waiting for time to plant the garden thinking…
