I'm still adapting to being unemployed. My brain was completely wired into fitting writing, drawing, playing the guitar, watching stuff with my wife and gaming in a schedule where I had 3 hours of free time per day. Now that I can just do whatever basically anytime I have to re-adapt. I used to come up with writing and blog post ideas in my commute (1h to work, 1h30 back home), but having access to my computer 100% of the day makes it really easy to get distracted and not do my hobbies. My boring, meaningless job made me yearn for any activity outside of it. My computer has a bajillion games I could easily spend the entire day playing. Or just chill and watch youtube without the pressure of wasting time. This morning for example, after I made coffee I tweaked my code editor some more and was preparing the grounds to start learning gamedev. I thought it would be cool to try to make tetris from scratch, maybe without following any tutorial. I downloaded love2d which I had previously…
