I have no clue when it will be released, but the next version of Zola at least seems to be functional but has breaking changes with the switchover to Tera 2. The breaks are significant, but over the long run it will be worth it. The additions will make the templates much cleaner, I think, and more manageable. If I didn’t have all the trickery with the weather-related CSV files, it would already be done, but that stuff has been relatively time-consuming. I like the changes in the templating a lot. Once I finally learn the difference, I will be done. Half of my problem is like anytime I learn something new. My brain runs on autopilot too often, sticking to the older ideas. I like this part of keeping this website up. I like using my brain in different ways and learning new things. Of course I like the writing here and the release for my ideas, but what really drives me to keep it up is the experimentation with new ways to do things.
