A few weeks ago, I met Erica Fustero, a fellow zine maker and artist on Mastodon. We did a zine trade, and it makes my heart so happy to trade art like this. All the way from Mataró! She writes a diary-like zine called Life With Subtitles, which is full of charming and clever illustrations. I really like the square format too. She makes a mini zine called Fancine, which is an illustrated film diary. Adorable! On the back of the zine, there's a cool illustration from one of the films she wrote about. I love this concept so much! On her trip to Tokyo, she took some photographs and made these beautiful postcards, which are paired with a printed letter/zine reflecting her experiences. This tiny project feels so intimate and special. I'd like to try something like this next time I visit somewhere, even if it's close to home. Something tangible to encapsulate the trip. The cherry on top was her handwritten letter and tiny illustration. What a wonderful happiness boost :)
